How to Create a Feed Project

Complete your online store setup to proceed


Before creating a Feed Project, complete the required online store setup.


The setup guide helps ensure that your store has the required information before product feeds can sync successfully with Google Merchant Center.


Google checks important store details such as:


  • Store trust
  • Billing information
  • Store visibility
  • Refund policy availability
  • Business contact information



Set up your online store


The Set up your online store section helps you complete the required store verification settings for Google Merchant Center integration.


The setup guide helps you complete the required steps before continuing with feed configuration.



Setup progress


The Setup progress section displays the current completion status of the required setup steps.


For example:


2 of 4 setup steps completed


Completed steps display a green checkmark, while incomplete steps display a pending status.



Add a valid payment method


This step verifies that your Shopify store has a valid billing method configured.


The setup guide displays:


Add a payment method in Shopify so Google can verify billing details.


Add a valid payment method in Shopify so Google can verify your billing details.


Once a valid payment method is added:


  • The setup step is completed
  • Store verification improves
  • Feed approval readiness increases



Create an online store


This step verifies that your Shopify online store is publicly accessible.


The setup guide displays:


Remove your online store password so products can be verified publicly.


Google requires public access to:


  • Verify products
  • Review storefront information
  • Validate product availability


If the storefront password is enabled:


  • Product verification may fail
  • Feed approval may be delayed
  • Product synchronization issues may occur


Once the storefront becomes publicly accessible:


  • The setup step is completed
  • Product verification becomes available
  • Store trust improves



Add a refund policy


This step requires you to publish a valid refund policy URL.


The setup guide displays:


Publish a refund policy in your storefront.


Google may require a visible refund policy to help improve customer trust and policy compliance.


Valid refund policy URL


The Valid refund policy URL field allows you to add the public refund policy page URL from your storefront.


Example:


https://example.com/policies/refund-policy


Click Add Policy.


When you click Add Policy:


  • The refund policy URL is validated
  • The policy is saved successfully
  • The setup progress updates automatically
  • The refund policy step is completed


After successful validation:


  • Store verification improves
  • Google policy compliance improves
  • Feed approval readiness increases



Confirm your store contact information


This step verifies that important business contact details are publicly visible on your storefront.


The setup guide displays:


Verify that the contact email, business address, and phone are visible on your store.


Google may require visible contact information for:


  • Store trust verification
  • Customer transparency
  • Business validation


The app checks:


  • Contact email visibility
  • Business address visibility
  • Phone number visibility


Once the contact information becomes publicly visible:


  • The setup step is completed
  • Store verification improves
  • Feed approval readiness increases


Action & Flow


Click Confirm your store contact information.


The contact information setup page opens.


From this page, you can:


  • Verify store contact details
  • Review business information
  • Confirm visible contact information for Google verification



Continue Button


After all required setup steps are completed, the Continue button becomes available.


Click Continue to:


  • Proceed to the next stage
  • Make feed configuration available
  • Continue product synchronization setup
  • Proceed with Google Merchant Center integration



How to Create a Feed Project


A Feed Project defines how Feedomix generates and synchronizes your product feed.


The setup contains four main steps:


  1. Feed Details
  2. Market Setup
  3. Product Attributes
  4. Schedule


Go to:


Shopify Admin β†’ Apps β†’ Feedomix β†’ Feed Projects β†’ Create Project



Step 1: Feed Details


Enter the basic information for your feed project.


Feed Title


Enter a name that helps you identify the project.


Examples:


  • Google Shopping Feed
  • USA Product Feed
  • Main GMC Feed


Channel


Select the destination channel.


Example:


Google Merchant Center


Feed Method


Select how the feed will be provided to the selected channel.


Available options:


  • XML
  • API


Note: If the connected Google account is disconnected, the API feed method will be disabled.


Click Next to continue.



Step 2: Market Setup


Market Setup determines the target market for the feed.


Depending on the configuration, market information can include:


  • Target Country
  • Target Language
  • Currency
  • Market availability
  • Shipping configuration


Target Country


Select the country where products are being advertised or sold.


Examples:


  • India
  • United States
  • United Kingdom
  • Singapore


Target Language


Select the language used for feed content.


The selected language should match the published language configured in Shopify Markets.


Currency


Select the currency used for product pricing in the feed.


The currency should match the selected Shopify Market configuration.



Shopify Market Setup


If the required market is not configured in Shopify:


  1. Open Shopify Admin.
  2. Go to Settings β†’ Markets.
  3. Click Add Market.
  4. Enter the market name.
  5. Select countries or regions.
  6. Configure currency and language.
  7. Save the market.
  8. Publish required languages.
  9. Verify shipping availability.
  10. Return to Feedomix.



Step 3: Product Attributes


Product Attributes lets you configure additional Google product information before the feed is generated.


This step is optional where applicable.


You can:


  • Search active products
  • Filter products
  • Check attribute configuration status
  • Open View Attributes
  • Configure attributes
  • Skip the step


Attributes can also be configured later.

Step 4: Schedule


Choose how frequently the feed should run.


Manual


The feed runs only when you manually generate it.


Hourly


The feed runs automatically every hour.


Daily


The feed runs once every day.


For a Daily schedule, configure:


  • Hour
  • Minute
  • AM/PM



Create the Project


After completing the required configuration:


  1. Review the settings.
  2. Use Back if you need to change an earlier step.
  3. Click Create project.


After successful creation:


  • The project appears in Feed Projects.
  • Market configuration is saved.
  • Product configuration is associated with the project.
  • The selected schedule is saved.
  • Automatic generation follows the selected schedule.



Feed Project Information


After creating a feed project, the project appears in Feed Projects with important feed information.


Feed Title


The Feed Title displays the name of the feed project.


Channel


The Channel displays the connected marketing platform for the feed project.


Example:


  • Google Merchant Center


Status


The Status displays the current condition of the feed project.


Possible statuses may include:


  • Active
  • Processing
  • Scheduled
  • Failed
  • Paused


Last Run


The Last Run displays the most recent feed generation or synchronization time.


It helps you verify:


  • When the feed was last updated
  • Whether automatic synchronization is running properly
  • If product data was recently processed


Next Run


The Next Run displays the upcoming scheduled feed generation time.


It helps you understand:


  • When the next synchronization will occur
  • Whether scheduling is configured properly
  • Feed automation timing



Feed Project Actions


The Actions section provides quick management options for each feed project.


Attributes


The Attributes button opens the Product Attributes section.


You can manage product attributes such as:


  • Material
  • Color
  • Size
  • Pattern
  • Condition
  • Gender
  • Age Group
  • Size System
  • Size Type
  • Google Custom Labels


Diagnostics


The Diagnostics button opens the feed diagnostics page.


You can:


  • Review feed health
  • Detect synchronization problems
  • Monitor feed processing activity
  • Review warnings and errors
  • Identify affected products


Diagnostics may display:


  • Feed generation progress
  • Warning categories
  • Failed products
  • Recent feed runs
  • Synchronization activity


Rules


The Rules button opens the Feed Rules section.


Feed Rules can be used to:


  • Exclude products from feeds
  • Modify product titles
  • Add title prefixes or suffixes
  • Filter products by tag
  • Filter products by vendor
  • Filter products by collection
  • Filter products by product type


Delete Project


The Delete Project button permanently removes the selected feed project.


After deletion:


  • Feed synchronization stops
  • Feed URLs become inactive
  • Scheduled feed generation is removed
  • Connected channel syncing may stop


Important: Deleted projects cannot be recovered.



Feed Generation Progress


The Feed Generation Progress section displays the status of feed generation and synchronization for the selected feed project. It helps you monitor processing progress and verify when products are ready to sync with Google Merchant Center.


It provides an overview of:


  • Feed generation status
  • Estimated processing time
  • Total products in the feed
  • Synchronization progress with Google Merchant Center


Feed Title


The Feed Title displays the name of the feed project currently being processed.


Status


The Status displays the current state of the feed generation process.


Possible statuses include:


  • Processing
  • Completed
  • Failed


A Completed status indicates that the feed has been generated successfully.


Estimated Total


The Estimated Total section displays the approximate time required for the feed generation process.


A value such as ~ 0 second indicates that the feed generation process has completed successfully and no additional processing time is currently remaining.


Total Catalog


The Total Catalog displays the total number of products included in the current feed generation.


Latest Generation Completed Successfully


This message confirms that the most recent feed generation process finished without major issues or synchronization errors.


It indicates that:


  • Feed processing completed successfully
  • Product synchronization finished correctly
  • The latest feed update was generated properly


Synced


The Synced count displays the number of products that have been successfully synchronized with Google Merchant Center.


Remaining


The Remaining count displays the number of products that are still pending synchronization.


These products will be synchronized as the feed generation and processing continue.
