How do the Settings work in Back In Stock reminders in notim app?
For Shopify
For Shopline
By default, the notim app is preconfigured with all the essential settings to get you started seamlessly. Let’s discuss one by one all the options available in the Settings.
Status
Ensure that the status is enabled to display the Email When Available (Notify Me) button, provided by the Back-In-Stock Reminder feature, on out-of-stock products on your website.
If you wish to disable the Email When Available (Notify Me) button (offered by the Back In Stock feature) for a specific device, simply uncheck the Desktop Enabled and/or Mobile Enabled checkboxes. Don’t forget to click the Save button after making any changes.
Email Notifications
Click the Email option from the Back In Stock menu to access Email notification settings. This section allows you to configure email templates and automatically notify customers when subscribed products are back in stock.
Automatically send back in stock emails
When this setting is enabled, any restocked variant is automatically queued, and notification emails are sent to all subscribed customers without any manual action required from you. This helps you recover lost sales instantly and ensures customers are notified at the right time.
Activated Pages
The Activated Pages section allows you to choose where the Back In Stock (BIS) widget should appear on your store. By enabling the widget on different pages, you ensure customers can subscribe for restock alerts from anywhere they discover your products.
- BIS Widget on Product Pages
The BIS widget on product pages shows a Email When Available (Notify Me) button on the product pages when the item is out of stock. This is the most common placement because customers frequently check product pages for availability.
- BIS Widget on Collection Pages
The BIS widget on collection pages shows a Email When Available (Notify Me) button directly within collections when an item in the list is out of stock.
- BIS Widget on Home Page
The BIS widget on the home page displays a Email When Available (Notify Me) button on out-of-stock products featured on your storefront’s home page (e.g., featured collections or recommended products).
- Back in Stock Button Selector
This option allows you to define a custom CSS selector for placing the Back in Stock button inside your theme. It is useful if your store has a custom layout or if you want the BIS button to appear in a specific area that differs from the default location.

Email merchant when customers subscribe: When this option is enabled, an email is automatically sent to your store’s email address each time a shopper submits their email through the “Notify when available” form on an out-of-stock product.
You can control this behavior using the “Email merchant when customers subscribe” checkbox:
Enabled: You (merchant) will receive an email every time a customer subscribes.
Disabled: No emails will be sent to you (merchant), but customer subscriptions will still be recorded and customers will still be able to receive back-in-stock notifications when the product becomes available.
This helps you:
- Track demand for out-of-stock products
- Know which products customers are actively waiting for
