How to Configure Managed SMS by Notim for Back in Stock Notifications
Managed SMS by Notim allows you to send Back in Stock SMS notifications without configuring your own Twilio or AWS SMS provider credentials.
With Managed SMS, you can purchase and manage SMS credits directly in Notim, monitor your available balance, set low-credit warnings, and review your SMS credit purchases and delivery activity.
Step 1: Select Managed SMS by Notim
Go to Notim β Back In Stock β Settings and open the SMS section.
Enable Automatically send back in stock SMS and select Managed SMS by Notim from the SMS Provider dropdown.
Managed SMS uses your Notim SMS credit balance, so no external SMS provider credentials are required.
Step 2: Open Managed SMS
Click Open Managed SMS to access the Managed SMS page.
From this page, you can manage your SMS credits and review SMS delivery activity for your store.
Note: SMS credits are charged based on the number of message parts and the destination. Messages containing Unicode characters may use more message parts.
Step 3: Check Your SMS Credit Balance
The SMS credit balance section displays your available balance for sending Managed SMS notifications.
You can also view the amount currently reserved for queued messages.
The status indicator shows whether Managed SMS is currently active for your store.
Step 4: Add SMS Credits
Use the Add SMS credits section to purchase additional SMS credits.
Select the SMS credit package you want to purchase and complete the payment.
Note: SMS credits are added to your balance only after the platform confirms your payment.
Step 5: Configure Low Credit Warning
The Low Credit Warning section helps you monitor your available SMS credit balance.
Enter your preferred amount in the Warning Amount field and enable Email Notification if you want to receive an email when your available SMS credit balance reaches or falls below that amount.
Click Save to apply your settings.
Only one warning email is sent while the balance remains low. The warning resets after your balance rises above the configured warning amount.
Step 6: Review Recent Top-ups
The Recent top-ups section displays your completed and pending SMS credit purchases.
Use this section to review your recent Managed SMS credit transactions.
Step 7: Review Recent SMS Activity
The Recent SMS activity section displays SMS delivery activity after your first Managed SMS message is sent.
Use this section to review the delivery activity of your Managed SMS notifications.
How Managed SMS Works
Once Managed SMS by Notim is selected and automatic Back in Stock SMS notifications are enabled, Notim uses your available Managed SMS credits to send notifications to SMS subscribers when their
subscribed products or variants are restocked.
Unlike Twilio or AWS End User Messaging SMS, Managed SMS does not require you to configure external provider credentials. SMS credits, balance management, and delivery activity are managed directly through Notim.
