GENERAL



What should we do once save email addresses on the email setup page?

We will send you an email whenever we find products below the inventory warning level. But please note we will only notify you about the products that go below the inventory warning level after our app is installed.


Which types of products notim app will track?

notim app will track only published products from your store.


Is it required to enable Shopify’s Track quantity options in Shopify Admin?

Yes, you have to enable Shopify’s Track quantity option in your store's all products that you want to track from the notim app. 🙂


Can I use it for coming soon products? Is there any option in the notim app?

No, So sorry but currently no feature is available in the notim app. It will automatically send a notification email to merchants with the mentioned email addresses of their choice when the merchant store’s published products go below the inventory warning level (Out of Stock).


Do you offer Location-based stock update emails?

We are providing a reminder of the total stock of a particular published product in all locations. A location-specific stock reminder is not possible for any product.


After how long time an email be sent after the product has gone out of stock?

notim app will require a 1-hour maximum to send an inventory reminder email after any published products/variants go below the inventory warning level.


If manually change in product’s inventory then email get sent?

No, notim app will send an email when real order is placed by customers and if the product goes below the inventory warning level.


Can the notim app make website loading speed slow?

No, as we are using Shopify & Cloudflare CDNs (Content Delivery Network) with the new OS 2.0 app extension technology, our apps are as fast as your store and we are using some caching techniques that make it even faster. So, our apps will never slow down your website speed.


Will the notim app make any changes to the theme?

No, The notim app doesn’t make any changes to the theme files.


Are you GDPR-obedient?

Yes. GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulation is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy in the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA).) imposes some rules on companies that collect or use personal data. The notim app is not affected by that regulation because it does not process or use any personal data.


Is customer data protected? Do you process customer data?

The notim app does not collect or store any personal data of the customers.


Does the app use cookies?

The app doesn’t use cookies on the storefront.


Is the notim app consider the “Incoming” and/or “Committed” quantity/inventory?

The notim app will consider the “Available” quantity only. The app will not consider the “Incoming” and/or “Committed” quantity/inventory.


OUT-OF-STOCK



Do I need to set up anything to receive the emails?

notim app will automatically set up with default settings after you install the app. There are many other settings that you are able to customize if you want.

To receive the emails, you have to specify the email(s) and inventory warning level at notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings page where you want to receive the notification email.


So shall we receive all the product’s variants notifications as well?

Yes. Whenever your customers purchase a product from your store, we will check published Products and Variants’ availability at that time so you will be able to receive published Products and Variants notifications as and when they go below to Inventory Warning Level.


What is the Inventory Warning Level on the Basic Settings page in Out-of-Stock?

Well, we will check the Inventory Warning Level value against your store’s all-published product quantity/inventory before sending you an inventory reminder. So reminder email will display all published products that meet EQUAL to warning level and may soon become Out Of Stock with its remaining quantity/inventory if any. E.g. So, if you want to receive a reminder when any published product(s) quantity/inventory reaches 10 then you need to put 10 as the Inventory Warning Level value, and we will send you a reminder whenever any published product has quantity/inventory as 10.


Are there any limitations on the number of warning levels I can set?

Yes, there is a limitation on the number of inventory warning levels you can set. You can add a maximum of 5 inventory warning levels.


What is the Email Notification Frequency on the Basic Settings page in Out-of-Stock?

The Email Notification Frequency allows you to choose how frequently or quickly you need email reminders once your products (and variants) drop below the Inventory Warning Levels.


Is there a way to set a specific time each day that we can get the notim app email?

No, unfortunately, currently you cannot set the specific time for the day. But you can set the frequency of sending the mail by visiting notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> General Settings -> Email Notification Frequency.


What is the Global Inventory Restock on the Basic Settings page in Out-of-Stock?

The Global Inventory Restock feature in the Notim app automatically refills your product inventory when levels drop below your set limits, ensuring your store stays stocked without manual effort.


What is the Update inventory via email option on the Basic Settings page in Out of Stock?

So Update inventory via email option allows you to change your product’s inventory directly from your email inbox. You will see one button called Update Inventory in the Email reminder once you enable this option from notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> Email Display Preferences. By clicking the Update Inventory button from an Email reminder, you will be redirected to our secure page and you will see all the out-of-stock products in the list, and it will allow you to change your inventory in bulk.


Can I change inventory from an email reminder?

Yes, you can change inventory from email reminder by enabling the Update inventory via email option at notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> Email Display Preferences.


Can I display a Vendor name in an email?

Yes, you can display the vendor name in the email. For that, you go to the notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> Email Display Preferences -> Select Include vendor in email option. But please make sure you have inserted Vendor names when creating products in Shopify Admin. If you haven’t inserted then we will silently hide the vendor in inventory reminder emails.


Can I add SKU in the email?

Yes, you can add the SKU to the email. For that, please go to the notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> Email Display Preferences -> Select the Include SKU in email Option.


Can I change the subject line of the email?

Yes, you can change the subject line of the email by going to notim app -> Out Of Stock -> Basic Settings -> Additional Settings (Optional) -> Email reminder subject line.


What are Additional Inventory Warning Levels for Products and Variants on the Advanced Settings page in Out of Stock?

Well, By Setting this option you can set up Inventory Warning Levels By Individual Products or Variants. Eg. If one or more products sell faster in your store compared to other products. Then you can set their inventory level to say 10 so you will get little time to fill inventory again in your store and for all other published products will check against global inventory warning level 0 or anything that you set in the settings page.


What is the Inventory tracking for specific products and variants feature on the Advanced Settings page in Out of Stock?

So we have a feature called track-specific Products/Variants inventory only. So you can insert only published products/variants whose reminder you want instead of all your store products/variants.


Can I use both track-specific product/variant and global inventory warning levels together?

No, you cannot use both track-specific product/variant and global inventory warning level together because the global inventory warning level will check against all published products in your store whereas track-specific product/variant will check for only the selected published product.


BACK-IN-STOCK



Is that possible to remove the Add to cart button automatically and also add the Email When Available button instead since it’s sold out?

No, it is not possible to replace the button. But, using the Back-In-Stock reminder, you can display the Email When Available button along with the Sold Out button. Checkout by visiting notim app -> Back-In-Stock.


Can I put the Notify Me button on the product page when the product is out-of-stock?

Yes, you can put the Notify Me button on the product page when the product (variant) is out-of-stock. notim app offers two types of services. One is an Out-of-stock reminder (for the merchants) and the second is a Back In Stock reminder (for the customers).

Out-of-stock Reminder
The Out-of-stock reminder is for the merchants (store owners). It will not work in the front store. It will work in the background. notim app will automatically send a notification email to merchants/store owners on the mentioned email addresses of their choice when the store’s published products go below the inventory warning level (Out of Stock).

Back-in-stock Reminder
While the Back-in-stock reminder is for the customers. It will display the Notify Me button on the out-of-stock (sold out) product page. The merchants can send a notification email to the customers with the submitted email addresses when the store’s published products will be back in stock.


Does this app allow customers to submit their email to be notified?

Yes, the app allows the customers to submit their email to be notified.

Back-in-stock Reminder Feature
The Back-in-stock reminder is for the customers. It will display the Notify Me button on the out-of-stock (sold out) product page. The merchants can send a notification email to the customers with the submitted email addresses when the store’s published products will be back in stock.


What is the Back In Stock Reminders's Product Page Button feature?

The Back In Stock Reminders's Product Page Button feature in the Notim app allows customers to subscribe to notifications when a product that is currently out of stock becomes available again. A button is displayed on the product page for easy customer access.


Can I customize the appearance of the Product Page Button?

Yes, you can customize the appearance of the Product Page Button. The Notim app provides options to modify the button's text, color, and style to match your store’s theme. These customization options are available within the Notim -> Back In Stock -> Back In Stock Settings.


MANAGE INVENTORY



Can I Manage store inventory stock from the notim app?

Yes, you can manage store inventory stock from the notim app by going to the notim app -> Manage Inventory. In this option, you can manage the different product inventory for stock.


Can I Export a CSV file of inventory stock?

Yes, you can export a CSV file of inventory stock by going to notim app -> Manage Inventory -> Export as CSV.


EXCLUDE PRODUCT



Shall we receive a notification if we don’t want to track inventory for some products/variants?

No. You will not receive a notification from us if you don’t want to track some of your published products/variant’s inventory.

You simply need to log in to your Shopify store and deselect the option Track quantity in Product -> Inventory and that’s it. The help article is here.

Or, you can exclude the product by visiting notim app -> Exclude products.


What is the Exclude Products feature in the Notim app?

The Exclude Products feature allows you to prevent specific products from being included in out-of-stock email reminders as well as back-in-stock reminders. This is useful if there are products you don’t want to monitor for stock levels.

Will the notim app consider the variants of the product while counting the product for the plan?

The notim app will consider only the published products. And the app will not consider the variants while counting the product for the plan. For example, if you have 100 products and 300 variants, then the app will count 100 products only.
