How does the Email Template work in Back In Stock reminders in notim app?

For Shopify

For Shopline

By default, the back-in-stock in the Notim App will automatically be set up with all basic settings. Let’s discuss all options available in the Email Template Settings page one by one.

The Email Template Settings page allows you to fully customize the content and appearance of the Back in Stock notification emails sent to your customers. The page is organized into two clear tabs: Templates and Design, making it easier to manage email content and styling separately.

Email

Click the Email button to view analytics and performance data related to Email Back In Stock notifications.

Templates Tab

The Templates tab lets you control the content and wording of Back in Stock emails. Everything configured here defines what the email says, while design and styling are handled separately in the Design tab.

Email Template Notice

This informational notice helps ensure your email templates support the correct languages.

If your store’s recently added or updated languages are not visible in the Select Template Language dropdown, you can use the provided option to fetch the latest language list directly from your store or website. This ensures your Back in Stock emails remain consistent with your storefront languages.

Select Template Language

This option allows you to choose the language used for the email template.

Each language has its own independent template, meaning you can customize the subject, header, body, and footer separately for every language supported by your store. Customers will receive the email in the language that matches your store configuration.

Reply-To Address (Optional)

This option allows you to specify a Reply-To email address for Back in Stock notification emails.

If set, customer replies to the notification email will be sent to this address instead of the default sender address. Leaving this field blank means no Reply-To address will be added.

Please note:

  • The Reply-To address is not language-based or template-based.
  • It applies globally to all Back in Stock emails, regardless of the selected language.

Email Subject

This option allows you to specify the subject line for the email that will be sent to customers when a product becomes available (back in stock).

The subject line plays an important role in encouraging customers to open the email, so it should clearly communicate that the product is available again.

You can also use the available dynamic variables to personalize the subject line:

  • {{shop_name}} – Displays the name of your store
  • {{product_name}} – Displays the name of the product that is back in stock
  • {{variant_name}} – Displays the name of the specific variant that is back in stock

Using these variables ensures that each email subject is automatically customized for the specific product and store.

You can click Reset at any time to restore the default subject provided by the app.

Email Header

This option allows you to customize the main heading text displayed inside the email content.

The header usually appears near the top of the email and gives customers immediate context about why they are receiving the message.

You may use the following variables in the email header:

  • {{shop_name}} – Displays the name of your store
  • {{product_name}} – Displays the name of the product that is back in stock
  • {{variant_name}} – Displays the name of the specific variant that is back in stock

These variables dynamically insert the relevant store and product information into the email. The Reset option restores the default header text.

Email Body

This option allows you to define the main message content of the email.

The email body is typically used to guide customers toward the next action, such as clicking the product to view details or place an order. You can write custom instructions or promotional messaging here.

The following variables are supported:

  • {{shop_name}} – Displays the name of your store
  • {{product_name}} – Displays the name of the product that is back in stock
  • {{variant_name}} – Displays the name of the specific variant that is back in stock

You can use Reset to revert the email body to its default content at any time.

This option allows you to customize the footer text shown at the bottom of the email.

The footer commonly contains unsubscribe information or compliance-related messaging. This ensures customers can opt out of future Back in Stock notifications if they choose.

Supported variables include:

  • {{shop_name}} – Displays the name of your store
  • {{start_unsubscribe}}...{{end_unsubscribe}} – Automatically generates the unsubscribe link

The Reset option restores the default footer content provided by the app.

Preview

A live preview panel is displayed on the right side of the screen.

As you modify the subject, header, body, or footer, the preview updates instantly, allowing you to see exactly how the email will appear to customers before it is sent.

Continue to Design

After finishing all content-related changes, click Continue to Design to move to the Design tab and customize the visual appearance of the email.

Design Tab

The Design tab allows you to customize the visual appearance of Back in Stock emails. Changes made here affect how the email looks, without altering the actual message content.

You can customize and upload your own logo within the Notim App settings. Once your logo is uploaded, it will automatically appear in the email notifications sent to customers for the back-in-stock product. This gives your brand a consistent, professional appearance in all communication from the Notim App.

The logo also adds credibility to your back-in-stock reminder emails, making customers feel confident and connected to your store. It’s a simple but effective way to ensure your customers associate the notifications with your brand.

If you later decide to remove the logo and display the store name in place of the logo in the back-in-stock reminder email, you can easily remove it by clicking the delete icon.
