Diagnostics helps you identify product and feed issues before or during synchronization with Google Merchant Center. It provides: * Diagnostics summary * Feed generation progress * Top warning categories * Affected products * Recent feed runs Diagnostics helps you understand the current state of your feed, identify products that may require changes, and review the results of previous feed-generation runs. --- ## Diagnostics Summary The summary provides an overview of the current feed and the latest generation result. The summary can display: * Latest Result * Active Products * Excluded Products * Generate Feed Now ### Latest Result **Latest Result** shows the status of the most recent feed-generation process. Possible latest-result states include: * Successful * Failed * In Progress * No Recent Run ### Active Products Shows the number of products currently included for feed processing. ### Excluded Products Shows products that are excluded from the feed based on the project configuration or feed settings. ### Generate Feed Now Use **Generate Feed Now** when you want to manually start a new feed-generation process. After starting the generation, you can monitor the progress from the **Feed Generation Progress** section. --- ## Feed Generation Progress The **Feed Generation Progress** section helps you monitor the current feed-generation process. Review: * Feed Title * Estimated Total Time * Current Status * Synced Products * Remaining Products * Total Catalog ### Feed Title Shows the Feed Project associated with the current generation process. ### Estimated Total Time Shows the estimated time required to complete the current feed-generation process. ### Current Status Shows the current stage of feed generation. ### Synced Products Shows how many products have been processed or synchronized during the current generation. ### Remaining Products Shows how many products are still waiting to be processed. ### Total Catalog Shows the total number of products included in the current feed-generation process. The values update while feed generation is running. --- ## Top Warning Categories Top Warning Categories highlights common issues found during feed processing. The documented issue types are: 1. **Missing Product Image** 2. **Missing GTIN / Barcode** 3. **Title Is Too Short** 4. **Missing Product Description** The section can display: * Issue * Count * Suggested Action * View ### Issue Shows the type of warning detected during feed processing. ### Count Shows how many products are affected by the selected issue. ### Suggested Action Provides guidance about what should be changed to address the issue. ### View Click **View** to open the affected products. The **Products with Issues** page displays the products related to the selected warning. **[Image: Top Warning Categories]** --- ## Issue: Missing Product Image ### What It Means The product or variant does not have the required image. A missing product image can prevent the product from having complete information in the generated feed. ### Suggested Action Add a product image or variant image in Shopify. ### How to Fix 1. Open the affected product in Shopify. 2. Add the required image. 3. Save the product. 4. Return to Feedomix. 5. Generate the feed again. 6. Review Diagnostics to check the updated result. --- ## Issue: Missing GTIN / Barcode ### What It Means The product or variant is missing a valid GTIN or barcode. The issue is identified when the required product or variant identification information is not available. ### Suggested Action Add a valid GTIN or barcode to the affected variant. ### How to Fix 1. Open the affected variant in Shopify. 2. Update the barcode/GTIN field. 3. Save the product. 4. Return to Feedomix. 5. Generate the feed again. 6. Review Diagnostics to check the updated result. --- ## Issue: Title Is Too Short ### What It Means The product title does not contain enough descriptive information. A clear product title helps provide more useful information about the product in the feed. ### Suggested Action Update the product title with useful product information. Depending on the product, this can include: * Brand * Product type * Color * Size * Model * Variant information ### How to Fix 1. Open the affected product in Shopify. 2. Update the product title. 3. Save the product. 4. Return to Feedomix. 5. Generate the feed again. 6. Review Diagnostics to check the updated result. --- ## Issue: Missing Product Description ### What It Means The product does not have a description. A product description provides additional information about the product and helps keep the product feed complete. ### Suggested Action Add a product description in Shopify. ### How to Fix 1. Open the affected product in Shopify. 2. Add the product description. 3. Save the product. 4. Return to Feedomix. 5. Generate the feed again. 6. Review Diagnostics to check the updated result. --- ## Recent Feed Runs Recent Feed Runs provides feed-generation history. It helps you review previous feed-generation activity and understand whether previous runs were completed successfully. It can include: * Serial Number * Status * Started * Finished * GMC Sync * Output ### Serial Number Identifies the feed-generation run in the list. ### Status Shows the result or current state of the feed-generation run. Possible statuses: * Successful * Failed * In Progress * No Run History ### Started Shows when the feed-generation process started. ### Finished Shows when the feed-generation process completed. ### GMC Sync Shows the Google Merchant Center synchronization status associated with the feed run. ### Output Provides information about the result of the feed-generation process. --- ## How to Review a Feed Issue When Diagnostics shows a warning: 1. Open **Feed Projects**. 2. Open **Diagnostics** for the required project. 3. Review the **Diagnostics Summary**. 4. Check **Feed Generation Progress** if a generation is currently running. 5. Review **Top Warning Categories**. 6. Identify the warning with the affected product count. 7. Click **View**. 8. Review the affected products. 9. Follow the **Suggested Action**. 10. Update the product in Shopify. 11. Save the product changes. 12. Return to Feedomix. 13. Generate the feed again. 14. Review the next Diagnostics result. --- ## How to Use Diagnostics 1. Open **Feed Projects**. 2. Open **Diagnostics** for the required project. 3. Review the Summary. 4. Check Feed Generation Progress. 5. Review Top Warning Categories. 6. Click **View** for the required issue. 7. Review the affected products. 8. Follow the Suggested Action. 9. Fix the affected products. 10. Generate the feed again. 11. Review Recent Feed Runs. 12. Review the next Diagnostics result. --- ## What Happens After Fixing an Issue? After correcting a product issue in Shopify, the change needs to be reflected in a new feed-generation cycle. The general process is: **Fix Product → Save Changes → Generate Feed → Review Diagnostics** The next Diagnostics result can be used to review whether the affected product is still included in the warning category.
