How do the Recent Visitors Notification popups work in the ToastiBar app?
Recent Visitors Notification Popup
Recent Visitors Notification Popups showcase the total number of recent visitors on your website. Even if there are no ongoing sales, orders, or cart activity, these popups help create the impression of a thriving and active store, adding valuable social proof.
These notifications are excellent for building trust by letting your visitors know they’re not shopping alone. By boosting your store's credibility, Recent Visitors Notification Popups provide potential customers with the confidence to make a purchase without hesitation.
Status
To display the Recent Visitors Notification popups on your website, ensure both the ToastiBar App status and the Recent Visitors Notification status are enabled. This will allow the notification to show the number of recent visitors who have visited your website.
If you wish to disable these popups for specific devices, simply untick or uncheck the Desktop Enabled and/or Mobile Enabled checkboxes. This provides the flexibility to tailor the notifications to specific devices.
Always remember to click the Save button after making any changes to apply your settings effectively.
Template
In the ToastiBar App, you can fully customize the popup message for the Recent Visitors Notification by editing the template. The app offers variable to help you personalize the message. The {{ count }} variable represents the number of visitors who have recently visited your website.
You can also add emojis to the message as needed (optional). If at any point you wish to reset the message to its default state, simply click the Reset button.
Make sure to click the Save button after making any changes to ensure your customizations are applied successfully.
View All Templates
The View All Templates button will display a list of the templates added for different countries and languages (available only for Shopify). In this section, you can view the Country/Language name, the Template associated with it, and the available Action options. Under the Action column, you have the option to edit or delete a template.
Additionally, by clicking on the Add New Template button, you can create and add a new template for a specific country or language (available only for Shopify). This allows you to further customize the app’s messaging to match the language preferences of your customers across different regions.
Add New Template
Whenever you want to use a country/language-specific readymade template, you can easily add it by clicking the Add New Template button.
After clicking the button, the app will allow you to select a country/language (available only for Shopify) from the list. Simply find and select the desired country or language. Once selected, the app will display the readymade template for that specific country/language. You can modify the template as needed, or if you’re satisfied with the default template, you can directly add it by clicking the Save button. Once saved, the template will be added to your list, and you’ll be able to view all the templates you've added in the View All Templates section.
Other Settings
In the Recent Visitors Notification Popups, the Other Settings allow you to customize the behavior of the popup and icon colors according to your preferences. There are two main options:
Hide if the number of visitors is less than: You can set a specific number here. Once the number of visitors drops below the specified value, the Online Visitors Notification popup will automatically be hidden.
Icon color: In this option, you can choose the color of the icon that blinks in the popup. Customize the color to suit your website's design.
After making any adjustments, be sure to click the Save button to apply the changes.
