How do the Other Settings work in the Sales Notification popups?

Miscellaneous Options

This option allows you to configure the sequence in which pop-ups are displayed, as well as control the visibility of pop-ups for out-of-stock products. Additionally, there may be other requirements beyond just displaying the pop-ups, such as the need to show the same product across different pop-ups, display variant or product images, and ensure the same product appears on the product page. Let’s explore all these options in detail.

Notification Display Settings

1) Allow to close notifications?: This setting allows you to control whether visitors can close the pop-ups or not. There are three options available:

No: The app will not allow visitors to close the pop-ups at all. The notification will remain on the screen until its display time expires.

Yes, only for the current page: Visitors can close the pop-ups, but the pop-ups will reappear if they visit another page or reload the current page.

Yes, only for the current visit/session: Visitors can close the pop-ups, and they won’t see them again during their current session or visit. However, the pop-ups will reappear when they return to the site later.

2) Sound Effect?: This option allows you to add an auditory element to your pop-ups. When enabled, a sound effect will play when the pop-up appears, adding an engaging auditory cue for visitors, which can draw more attention to the notification.

3) Randomly Display Notifications: By default, the pop-ups show notifications starting from the most recent orders. However, if you enable this option, the pop-ups will display the notifications randomly, offering a more varied and less predictable sequence. This can help keep the notifications fresh and dynamic, preventing a repetitive experience for your store visitors.

Product Display Customizations

1) Display Same Products: This option determines whether the same product can be shown multiple times in the pop-ups if it is ordered or added to the cart by users. Enabling this option allows the same product to be displayed in the pop-up notifications, which can help reinforce the visibility of high-demand products.

2) Display same product on product page: This feature helps you promote products directly on their product pages, which can enhance sales and cross-promotion. It works differently for Shopify and Wix:
2.1 For Shopify: Enabling this option will display pop-ups for the same product until it is added to the cart. Once the product is in the cart, the app will start showing notifications for other products, helping to cross-sell and inspire customers to explore more options. This feature is available only in the paid plan.
2.2 For Wix: For Wix stores, the same product will continue to be displayed on its product page even if it is added to the cart. This feature is also available only in the paid plan.

3) Display Out of Stock Product: This option allows you to display notifications for products that are currently out of stock but have been ordered in the past. If a product is out of stock but was previously purchased, enabling this option ensures it still appears in the notifications, which can help inform visitors about popular products, even if they’re temporarily unavailable.

4) Display Variant Image Instead of Product Image? [only for Shopify]: For stores with products that have multiple variants, this option allows you to display the variant image (e.g., a different color or size) in the pop-up instead of the main product image. This feature helps provide more specific details about what’s being purchased, especially when variants are an important part of the product offering.

Branding Options

1) Remove “powered by MakeProSimp”: This option will allow you to remove the “powered by MakeProSimp” mark which is a display with every popup in the bottom position. Removal of “powered by MakeProSimp” is exclusively available in the Paid plan only.

Disable Notifications

The "Disable Notifications" option in the ToastiBar App allows you to restrict the display of notification popups on specific pages of your store. This feature provides flexibility for store owners who may want to prevent notifications from appearing on certain pages, such as the Home Page, Product Page, or Cart Page.

To disable notifications on a specific page, you can add the following meta tag to the page’s code:

<meta name='mps-sales-notification:active' content='false'>

By using this meta tag, you can effectively stop the popups from being displayed on that particular page, providing more control over where and when the notifications appear.

UTM Params

UTM parameters (Urchin Tracking Module) are tags added to URLs to help track the performance of marketing campaigns and monitor how visitors interact with your website. When a user clicks a link containing UTM parameters, the tags are sent back to Google Analytics or another analytics platform, allowing you to gather data on the traffic source, campaign effectiveness, and user behavior.

These parameters provide insight into which marketing efforts are bringing the most traffic to your site, enabling you to refine your strategies. Common UTM parameters include:

utm_source: Identifies the source of the traffic, such as a search engine, newsletter, or social media platform.

Example: utm_source=toastibar_sales_popup

utm_medium: Specifies the marketing medium or channel used, like email, social media, or paid ads.

Example: utm_medium=notification

utm_campaign: Tracks the specific campaign or promotion, allowing you to measure the success of a particular marketing effort.

Example: utm_campaign=toastibar_sales_popup_campaign

By using UTM parameters, you can better understand which marketing tactics are most effective and optimize your efforts accordingly.
