How do the Cart Notification popups work in the ToastiBar app?

Cart Notification Popups display engaging notifications whenever someone adds a product to their cart on your website. Even if your website doesn’t have active sales or orders, these popups create the impression of a bustling store, adding an element of social proof.
These popups not only make your website feel more dynamic but also effectively boost sales and enhance customer satisfaction by providing real-time, actionable messages as customers add products to their carts.
Status
To display Cart Notification popups on your website for the products added to the cart by users, ensure both the ToastiBar App status and the Cart Notification status are enabled. These settings activate the feature, allowing notifications to appear seamlessly across your site.
If you wish to disable these popups for specific devices, simply untick or uncheck the Desktop Enabled and/or Mobile Enabled checkboxes. This provides the flexibility to tailor the notifications to specific devices.
Always remember to click the Save button after making any changes to apply your settings effectively.
Template
In the ToastiBar App, you can fully customize the popup message for the Cart Notification by editing the template. The app offers several variables to help you personalize the message. For example, the {{ item }} variable displays the name of the product added to the cart, the {{ item_price }} variable shows the actual price of the product, and the {{ line_price }} variable represents the total price for the product (calculated as the product's price multiplied by the quantity). The {{ quantity }} variable indicates the total number of products added to the cart, and the {{ time_ago }} variable shows the time when the customer added the product to the cart. These variables allow you to create a more personalized and dynamic message for your customers in the Cart Notification popups.
You can also add emojis to the message as needed (optional), and apply filters to the variables if desired (optional). If at any point you wish to reset the message to its default state, simply click the Reset button.
Make sure to click the Save button after making any changes to ensure your customizations are applied successfully.
View All Templates
The View All Templates button will display a list of the templates added for different countries and languages (available only for Shopify). In this section, you can view the Country/Language name, the Template associated with it, and the available Action options. Under the Action column, you have the option to edit or delete a template.
Additionally, by clicking on the Add New Template button, you can create and add a new template for a specific country or language (available only for Shopify). This allows you to further customize the app’s messaging to match the language preferences of your customers across different regions.
Add New Template
Whenever you want to use a country/language-specific readymade template, you can easily add it by clicking the Add New Template button.
After clicking the button, the app will allow you to select a country/language (available only for Shopify) from the list. Simply find and select the desired country or language. Once selected, the app will display the readymade template for that specific country/language. You can modify the template as needed, or if you’re satisfied with the default template, you can directly add it by clicking the Save button. Once saved, the template will be added to your list, and you’ll be able to view all the templates you've added in the View All Templates section.
Other Settings
In the Cart Notification popups, the Other Settings option allows you to control when the popup is displayed based on the time products were added to the cart. For example, if you set the time to 90 minutes, the popup will only show products added to the cart within the last 90 minutes. If you set the time to 0 minutes, the popup will display for products added to the cart at any time, without any time restriction. the Cart Notification feature is a Paid Feature.
