Feed Rules let you control which products are included in a feed and make supported changes to feed output. Supported rule types: * Exclude by Tag * Exclude by Vendor * Exclude by Collection * Exclude by Product Type * Title Prefix * Title Suffix Feed Rules apply to the selected Feed Project and affect the generated feed output. They do not directly change the original product information in Shopify. --- ## Add a Rule 1. Open **Feed Rules**. 2. Click **Add a Rule**. 3. Select the rule type. 4. Enter or select the required value. 5. Click **Save Rule**. 6. Review the Preview. ### Before Saving a Rule Review the selected rule type and value to make sure the rule applies to the products you want to include or exclude. The **Preview** helps you check the expected result before the feed is generated. --- ## Exclude by Tag Excludes products or variants matching a Shopify tag. Example: **Tag:** `700c` Matching products are shown as excluded in Preview. Use this rule when you want to exclude products that share a specific Shopify tag. --- ## Exclude by Vendor Excludes products associated with the selected vendor. Use this rule when products from a particular vendor should not be included in the selected feed. The selected vendor is shown in the rule configuration and matching products appear as excluded in Preview. --- ## Exclude by Collection Excludes products belonging to the selected Shopify collection. Use this rule when a complete collection should be excluded from the selected feed. Products matching the selected collection are shown as excluded in Preview. --- ## Exclude by Product Type Excludes products based on their Shopify product type. Use this rule when products with a specific product type should not be included in the selected feed. Matching products are shown as excluded in Preview. --- ## Title Prefix Adds text to the beginning of matching product titles in the feed. Example: **Original:** High Pressure Rim Tape **Prefix:** HI **Feed Title:** HI High Pressure Rim Tape The rule changes the feed output and does not change the original Shopify product title. Use a Title Prefix when you want to add consistent text before matching product titles in the generated feed. --- ## Title Suffix Adds text to the end of matching product titles in the feed. Example: **Original:** Running Shoes **Suffix:** Summer Sale **Feed Title:** Running Shoes Summer Sale The rule changes the feed output and does not change the original Shopify product title. Use a Title Suffix when you want to add consistent text after matching product titles in the generated feed. --- ## Saved Rules Saved Rules displays: * Rule Type * Rule Value * Actions You can remove a saved rule using the delete action. Saved rules remain available for the selected Feed Project until they are deleted. --- ## Delete a Rule Click the delete icon for the rule you want to remove. After deletion, the rule no longer affects the feed. Review the Preview after deleting a rule to check the updated feed-rule results. --- ## Rule Preview Preview lets you review the effect of saved rules before feed generation. It can display: * Product * Variant * SKU * Effect * Excluded By * Current Title * Updated Title Possible effects include: * Excluded * Title Updated The Preview displays up to **20 rows per page**. ### Product Shows the product affected by the configured rule. ### Variant Shows the affected product variant when applicable. ### SKU Shows the SKU associated with the affected product or variant. ### Effect Shows what the rule does to the product in the feed. Possible effects include: * Excluded * Title Updated ### Current Title Shows the original product title. ### Updated Title Shows the title after a Title Prefix or Title Suffix rule is applied. ### Excluded By Shows the rule responsible for excluding the product. --- ## No Affected Products When no products match the configured rules, Feedomix displays an empty state. This means there are no products matching the selected rule conditions in the Preview. The Preview does not modify Shopify products. --- ## Review Feed Rules Before generating the feed: 1. Review the saved rules. 2. Check the rule type and value. 3. Open the Preview. 4. Review affected products. 5. Check the Effect column. 6. Confirm excluded products or updated titles. 7. Make changes to the rules if required. 8. Generate the feed after confirming the expected result.
